It was good to see so many people of all ages attend the Tea Party on Tuesday. Some aspects of the rally were quite problematic, however. Public prayer, particularly such a long-winded, sectarian prayer, has no place at an event of this kind. The taxes on atheists, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, and even devil-worshippers are too high. Let us stay focused on what unites us, not what divides us.
ReplyDeleteFurthermore, while I like Chris Shank, have voted for him, and supported him, he had no place there other than in the crowd. Unless he stands up to say that he will lead a movement for the secession of Western Maryland from Chairman O'Mao-ly, listening to the usual list of complaints--however valid--is pointless. If this is a rally of the people, invite the people to speak.
Thank you.
